Music: Count Us In 2012

‘Music Count us in', is a National initiative, funded and supported by the government. Its aim is to promote music in schools and to bring schools together. It encourages teachers and students with a little or lots of talent to embrace music.

Each year a song is written by school students and well known musicians such as John Foreman. This song is then learnt within participating schools. This year was particularly exciting, because 2000 high school and primary schools from around Australia came together to sing the same song at the same time.

Pleasant Heights enjoyed a special assembly last Thursday to sing the song via a livestream internet experience with countless other schools. They sang, ‘Different People,' beautifully and enthusiastically.

It was such a ‘pleasant' moment!
