McGrath Foundation Pink Stumps Day

DOWNLOAD permission note

The 2015 SRC made a decision at the end of last year to participate in the 2016 McGrath Foundation Pink Stumps Day. Once the 2016 SRC have been elected, this will be their first fundraising event. In addition to making a donation to a very worthy charity, the McGrath Foundation will donate a brand new pink cricket kit to Pleasant Heights Public School!

Date: Friday, 11th March 2016

Time: 12.15pm to 3.15pm

Parents are invited to attend the picnic tea break on the "Hallowed" Pleasant Heights Oval 1.45-2.15pm. Parents may also wish to attend the event as the "12th Man" and cheer from the sidelines, offering drinks after each "innings".

Location: PHPS SCG (School COLA + Grounds)

Activity: Students will participate in a fun afternoon of cricket games, activities and skills.

Cost: $5 (includes donation to McGrath Foundation & silicon wristband)

What to wear: Please remember that you will be participating in sport and fitness activities. Wear as much pink as you can! Cricketers are FAMOUS for their sunscreen and zinc fashion - Shane Warne and his zinced nose, Andrew Symonds and his zinced lips. All Australian cricketers wear the "baggy green" (strangly similar to our school hats). Real cricketers protect themeselves from the sun, and you must too!

Mrs Phipps being the "Captain" of the Primary Cricket Team and Mrs Knobel being the "Captain" of the Infants Cricket Team will make decisions on when to "declare" on each activity depending on the weather! Mrs Venables will of course be the "third umpire"! Please ensure you come to school with plenty of sunscreen and water!

We have opted for a large cricket kit and are aiming to raise $650. If in addition to the $5 entry fee, you wish to make a further donation to this very important charity, please visit the PHPS McGrath Pink Stumps donation page.
